Material Selection Wizard

The Materials Selection Wizard (see screen shot to the left) augments the Solidworks materials selection process. It helps you quickly select materials from your customized materials database by providing customizable descriptions of the materials and also allows you to apply finish specifications to the selected material. It runs directly off of the materials database file so as you add new materials in Solidworks it updates with the selection wizard.

Features:

• The selection wizard comes with a materials database with over 100 common materials. You can add your own too!
• Add your own description or modify the description that comes with the program!
• Add a finish specification to the material. Multiple finishes can be selected from. You can even add new finishes on the fly!
• Upon completion the material is applied to the part and the material and finish applied to the part properties
• The Material Properties are shown to help guide your selection if needing to find a material with specific criteria
• Descriptions may be customized for your company!
